Mr. Jimmy Van Elmore of Albany, Kentucky passed away at Tristar Centenial Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 having attained the age of 63 years, 1 month, and 5 days. He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Saturday, March 18, 1961, the son of Zachery Van & Irene (Melton) Elmore. He was of the Christian faith, and worked for the Albany City Water Depart for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Elmore, and sister, Lisa Elmore.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Craig) Elmore, whom he wed on December 31, 1980, daughters, Kimberly Elmore of Bowling Green, and Heather Elmore of Albany, siblings, Carol (& George) Corder of Monticello, Kentucky, Ray (& Vonnie) Elmore of Knoxville, Tennessee, Kaye Huffman of Albany, Susie (& Mike) Pierce of Albany, Ricky (& Anita) Elmore of Jamestown, Tennessee, and Michael Elmore of Albany, grandchildren, Eastynn Speer, Adleigh Elmore, Aycen Elmore, Bodee Elmore, Jax Elmore, and several Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. C.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Bro. David Stearns officiating. Casket bearers were Trent Huffman, Nathan Elmore, Shannon Elmore, Adam Elmore, Justin Elmore, and Brooks Ferguson. Burial was in the Memorial Hill Cemetery in Albany, Kentucky. Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
